I've got gardening on my mind for this weekend! Lucy made a list of everything she'd like to grow. Our roses and irises are blooming right now and I hope the peonies will be in bloom soon too. Hope you all have a nice weekend.

Back home from California after a week spent with family. We saw some beautiful countryside, which I didn't manage to capture with my camera, so it will just have to reside in my memory. Here are a few shots from a beautiful afternoon in Point Reyes.

Made a few more sailor girls, a whole crew actually. I will take them to the Squam Art Fair in June, but they are also available in my shop.

vintage sewing

Not only do I love vintage fabric, but I love vintage sewing materials too, like thread, scissors and this English cotton tape. All found at the beloved flea market last weekend.

I've been sewing with this good old thread and I've used the cotton tape as hanging loops on my latest batch of lavender pillows, which I hope to put in my shop early next week.

I'm wishing all the mothers out there a Happy Mother's Day on Sunday!

It was hot today and I wore my favorite sandals for the first time this year. Now as I write this we are having an afternoon thunder shower, cooling things down. Delightful!

I know it's barely spring, but I am looking forward to the slow days of summer. Somehow, family life has reached the level of barely controlled chaos. Which is great in its own way, but still...

In an attempt to organize something in my life, I've been working on putting my favorite photos from 2008 into a blurb book. It's been fun revisiting these photos as they bring back great memories. Here are a few that remind me of those peaceful summer days!
