Made For Me

I've done a lot more sewing this week and made this bag for myself out of the end of a roll of vintage French linen. My inspiration came from Fog Linen found via Marie. I love all the Japanese fabric and clothing sites Marie finds!

I've also made some bags this week for a local designers show at History. Although I won't be there because I'll be on vacation, my friend Alanna from Toby and Rei has kindly offered to bring some of my bags with her to the show. Alanna has an adorable children's clothing line and a cool blog. This new line of beautiful clothing, J'aime Colette will also be there. If you're in Cambridge check it out!

Wow, I truly like the bag! Good that you keep it for yourself... It's too nice! :)

(BTW, I've just read that Lego will be opening a Lego Universe web next year; your son should check it)

This bag is soooo lovely, very special you have so much talent!!! I love the fabric and the pattern!!! Old linen here in the DK is very expensive so I´m walking always on fleamarkets to find them:). But it is not so easy!! Take care dear Jill and be proud of your new bag:)))....*Marie*

Thanks for all your nice responses about my new bag...it's so nice to have feedback...especially on days when I'm working at home by myself for most of the day and wondering okay, I like this, but would anyone else??? So, thank you.
*Marie*, vintage linen is expensive here too. I have one source that's not cheap, but the quality is always good. My other source, like you is the flea market. My favorite flea market starts up in the spring, and I can't wait to go!

Lovely. What a great idea for old linen - I need to buy some.
