after the show

So good to have the first holiday show of the season done! Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi and chat on Saturday. Seeing old friends and making new ones is the best part of doing these shows. I wanted to share some links from the show and some photos of what I came home with this time.

Pansy Maiden: beautiful bags. You can find Laura's work here and I hear she will be at the Bazaar Bizarre on December 6th.

Jill Rosenwald: gorgeous ceramics. You probably know her work already, but if not, it's lovely, and you should have a look.

Ella Rose: I had to have one of their necklaces made from vintage men's neckties. Plus she donates her proceeds to a women's charity organization. (pictured above)

Susy Pilgrim Waters: I've been wanting a dress with Susy's designs since I saw them last year. I love my new dress. (pictured above)

Angela Liguori: I always enjoy Angela's company at the shows we do together. She is carrying a new line of wrapping paper from Pikku. Won't it be perfect for wrapping holiday gifts? (pictured above)

Albertine Press: Shelley's press is located in neighboring Somerville. She has so many cute cards and a 2010 calendar that I am coveting. It's beautiful and affordable, folks. If you live in the Boston area, drop by the Paper and Chocolate event on December 5th to see Shelley's stationery in person.

Flauxy: Lovely, affordable jewelry. And simple too. I will wear this beaded gold chain all the time. (pictured above)

And although Katy Elliot was not a vendor at the show, she came by to say hello! It was so fun to meet the person behind a favorite blog. Thank you for coming, Katy. It was lovely to meet you!
And lastly, I am going to Mexico City for the Thanksgiving holiday. I promise to take loads of pictures! See you back here in a week or so!

warm and sunny in november

Warm and sunny today, but the plants and trees know it's November. In a short walk around the block I found these little bits of nature in amongst concrete, telephone poles, and buildings. Have a happy weekend, you all!

I'll be here on Saturday if you want to stop by and say hello.

the fun part

Playing around with little things to put in my display for the show this weekend. I found the little white reindeer at a yard sale this summer. The bird's nest was on the sidewalk the other day, so cute!

Things are all packed up, except for this cream scarf which I just finished yesterday. Poster in the background is by illustrator Emma Adbage. She and her twin sister, illustrator Lisen Adbage have two of my favorite blogs.

holiday events

I just added all my holiday shows and events to my sidebar and I'll be updating my shop over the weekend with some new things.

Thank you, Jane from Simple + Pretty for the lovely mention!

Ah, it's Friday night. At my house right now we are eating oysters, doing puzzles, and listening to The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour. It's feeling cozy here.

Okay, good weekend, all.

more hours please

Feeling like I need a few more hours in each day! But for now, here are some nice links.

Jurianne's fun blog and lovely shop. And thank you Jurianne for posting about my dolls!
Listening to Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson. Can't stop actually.
Pi'lo found through my friend, Angela.
Wishing I could attend this Second Storie event!
The Wild Places. My friend Kim sent me this link and I can't wait to sit down and listen to it. That is when I stop listening to Pete and Scarlett.
Saw An Education last weekend. I highly recommend it.

end of autumn

It's feeling like November today. Grey, cloudy, cold, and there are rumors of snow tonight. It's the end of autumn here, winter is coming soon. The trees are bare, things look stark. I love this time of year.

Boston Design Salon Holiday Sale

I'm getting ready for this November 21st show right now. There are going to be so many talented women designers there. I can't wait to do my own holiday shopping. To see a full list of the participants visit the Design Salon Boston blog, but I'll give you a hint: Angela Liguori, Susy Pilgrim Waters, and the Albertine Press are just a few of the great talents who will be there too. If you are in the greater Boston area, please stop by and say hello. It's worth the trip into the city and it's very close to Newbury Street in case you want to have a nice lunch, a drink or take a stroll through the Boston Common. And I would very much like to meet you!
