Amsterdam
Does anyone have any good travel tips for Amsterdam? We are going next week for about five days, without children. Pia posted some wonderful tips on her site a while back, but if anyone has any good restaurant tips or some little shops (clothing, vintage, design, bookstores) that are not to be missed please fill me in. I'm so looking forward to wandering around a new city with my camera. I'll be blogging until Wednesday, so let me know what your favorite places in Amsterdam are if you get a chance!
Also, have a look at the Noticing Project, via Esti. And have a very nice weekend!

Eh! Amsterdam! great place! I went when I was 15 so I ave got very few memories (not that I am old but more that I was young and probebly didn't do that much then!) well in fact I remember the Van Gogh museum pretty much and it is to be seen, you probably knew already! I suggest you grab a bike and enjoy the city! I know my comment is long and I had no tips for you, I guess I'm in a chatty mood! I will come back!
I even missed a H for have!
I thought the 'ave was just your French accent coming out! I really want to go the the Van Gogh museum...it's tops on my list. And renting a bike sounds like a great idea. Thanks Artycho! I'm feeling chatty myself since my husband is playing wth the kids and I'm having my Friday night glass of wine and blogging...perhaps that's a dangerous combination :)
Oh I am so jealous...have a wonderful time! Take lots of pictures and make sure to post them. ;)
I have never been there, but I would like to go :-) !
And I love the pictures from your home Jill - everything looks so quiet, peaceful and clear! Am I the only one who is living in chaos?
Have a wonderful trip, enjoy!
Amsterdam! Cool. I've been there twice, but feel like both time I was scooting here & there in a rush, so I'm really sorry not to have any tips : ( If something comes into my mind, I'll come back. So, have a great trip. I'll be anxiously waiting for your vacation photos!
Thanks Mrs. French and Stardust...I promise to take lots of photos for posting when I get back!
Andrea, I think I was cheating a bit taking only the picked up corners of my house! You should see my living room right now...it is a sea of legos, blocks, cars, trucks, and plastic animals. Maybe I will take a picture...:)
Please Jill, do it! You will make my day :-) Because I am feeling like swimming in the ocean of books, keys, newspapers, caps, pencils, jumpers and other things...
I just got back from Amsterdam where I had the best time ever.
I especially love Runstraat, an exquisite little street...
Andrea, I never did take a picture of the mess...it was just too awful :) But I will the next time, provided I can somehow make it look interesting enough to photograph...
Mary-Laure, I'm adding Runstrat to my list of destinations...thank you for the tip!
