An early morning at the end of August. We're packing up this weekend to go back home to our city life. School starts on Tuesday. Have a nice weekend and enjoy the end of August!
Ah! back to everyday life that does not have the same feel to it as summer, holidays, and no big city buzz surrounding you. I am off to Vancouver Island to visit my parents for a week and I am looking forward to the casual, laid-back style of the Island versus the uptight, everything-is all-about-oil Calgary!
Hi Raining Sheep, I hope you have a wonderful time visiting your parents on Vancouver Island! Sounds like a lovely place to visit!
Thanks Anu! Hope your weekend was great too.
Hi Artycho, yes, we're back here at home. It's really nice to be back, although we had such a great summer.
Thanks, Angie...always nice to know you are visiting here!
Hi Mrs. French, yeah, we do have the best of both worlds, being able to have some time away from the city in the summer. It is nice to be back home in my own house though, and back to our neighborhood with all of our nice friends and neighbors. I really missed everyone when we were gone this summer!
Thanks, Pia for a very sweet comment! I love being able to look back at these family photos and remember those happy summer days :)
Mrs. French, I was just talking to a friend yesterday about the call of the beach and how amazing it is just to look at the waves and feel yourself drift off over the horizon. Truly a special place!
I'm a designer and seamstress. I make bags and pillows out of vintage and natural fabrics. I'm a mom of two. I like pretty things.
All photos are mine unless otherwise noted. If you would like to use them, just let me know. Thank you!
