It feels like summer again now, so here are some summery photos. Today is sunny, warm, and beautiful, with maybe a hint of fall in the air. I'm off to enjoy it, although I'll try to get back to this space before the end of the week.
Nice summery shots! We love blackberries here and just picked lots the other day and made a gorgeous pie! My husband isn't to keen on those little worms in them!Have a great weekend!
Too funny--I gave the twin of that pretty little bowl to my sister for Christmas a few years ago (from the Cambridge antique market, I think). Does it have a funny, uneven rim?
Thanks, Artycho! Mmmm...blackberry pie sounds so good! We haven't had any yet this summer, but we have had lots of blueberries. Good weekend to you too!
Hi Gracia, thanks for your nice comments! You're in the middle of winter, no? That must make summer photos must seem especially nice :)
and yes--blackberries are heaven. Harder to find than they used to be. They seem to grow best in those kinds of vacant lots and in-between places that have disappeared since we were little, but I've managed to track down some old patches this summer and made a couple of crisps and a cake!
Hi Sarah, how fun to get a comment from someone in the Boston area! I found the bowl (yes, uneven rim) at the Todd Farm Flea Market, up in Rowley, MA. If you've never been, it's every Sunday a.m., dawn to noon. It's worth the drive!
I'm a designer and seamstress. I make bags and pillows out of vintage and natural fabrics. I'm a mom of two. I like pretty things.
All photos are mine unless otherwise noted. If you would like to use them, just let me know. Thank you!
