advent

Advent calendars are one of my favorite parts of the holiday season. I've had one (or two or three) every year since I can remember. Now I can't resist getting them for my kids too. I like the old fashioned looking ones the best. There's something special about opening a new little door each day and seeing the treasure inside. Come to think of it, this is exactly what I love about reading blogs too...a new surprise each time you visit.

I've updated my shop today, more on that tomorrow!

That´s so true, what you write about blogs and advent calendars :-)

oh, me too! And I've managed to get my daughter hooked as well--even now at too-cool thirteen, she is insistent about getting an Advent calendar and we went to several stores on Saturday before finding a perfect one at PaperSource. I did see one on ebay the next day (was looking for Emma Bridgewater mugs) - a beautiful Matthew Rice watercolor, very old-fashioned and pretty. I may have to buy it and hide it away for next year!

My kids used to love advent calendars. I did not get organized this year and get one...next year I will need to remember.
