little girl stuff

Very girly, don't you think? Now my daughter is tired of the pink walls in her bedroom and wants to change to blue. I'm getting out my paintbrush again...and I do love blue.

i wonder if the day will come when my daughter tires of pink...blue would be a nice change.

How sweet, though! The dresser is lovely up against that pink wall, and all of her tchotchkes spilled on top -- how very girly and magical.

What color blue, I wonder ... ?

I like this shade of pink, too. Reminds me of lingonberry porridge, that I loved so much when I was a child (and still do)..

Looking forward seeing what shade of blue you two end up to : )

Funny - I just change my daughters room from a blue tone to pink! Love that shade of pink.

Joslyn, all of a sudden the pink stage ended! my (almost 9 year old!) daughter is still so girly, but her taste is changing in subtle ways.

thank you Gretchen! what a nice comment! as for green, i love it, but mostly outside, not on the walls :)

hi helen, i've heard turquoise mentioned...i have to give her the paint chart next...i'm very curious too to see what she'll choose.

stardust, lingonberry porridge sounds delicious! i'd love to hear the recipe. my lingonberry experience only extends to the lingonberry jam they sell at Ikea :)

hi kotori, that's funny that you've just gone the opposite color direction. i'll miss the pink, but i always like change too, so it will be fun to have something different.

I am not into pink but I trully find that pink nice! Anyway a change is good, spring is coming, and blue is so calming.

That pink shade is nice but I understand that kids need change as we do too. I like that dresser!

Jill, Porridge recipe is very simple. You need 1l of water, 1,5dl (how much this is in cups? 1cup?) of semolina grits, 2dl/200gr of lingonberries, 1dl of sugar & half tea spoon of salt. After cooking (5min) the porridge, let it cool down. Then whip chilled porridge into a fluffy dessert or snack. Healthy and delicius! Not to mention the beautiful shade of pink, eye food!!!
