new skirt

I have a new skirt and I have to show it off. My husband was kind enough to take some photos of me. My daughter thought I looked like I should be going horseback riding. Maybe in a previous century. Bottom photo is kind of funny...a little like Miss Muffet who sat on a tuffet. It's cold and gray here, like it sometimes is in May. But wearing my new skirt makes me feel better. Have a great weekend!

Very very beautiful! Is the edge just not sewn up? Nice idea! Yes, you have the elegance here of women from the previous century (which I am hoping sounds nice).

thanks, sharon! i haven't been wearing skirts much lately, and it felt nice to dress up a bit :)

hi bohemian girl, the skirt has two layers, a petticoat beneath the top layer and the edges have been left raw. well, there is topstitching above the the edge to keep it from fraying too much. it's the kind of skirt that i should make for myself, but haven't and it was nice to buy it as a treat. and yes, your comment does sound nice...i take it as a compliment :)

I am all about getting something new when the skies are murky. I love that skirt....I think I need a new skirt too. All I have been buying lately is runners.
