I'm reading Annie Dunne by Sebastian Barry and loving it. Trying to go slow because it's the last of his books that I haven't already read (he can't write fast enough for me!)
Just finished Italo Calvino If on a winters night a traveler, came running to tell you because I know that you like Calvino. It is pretty amazing, there is one Czech writer that I like a lot, now I see which writer this writer likes. Which doesn't mean that I like the Czech one less....
What a great picture! I always loved reading when I was a kid and would spend hours doing it. Right now I am reading a mystery by Michael Connelly called The Scarecrow.
Hello from London! I'm reading, and loving, A Handful of Honey. It's a travelogue written by a female author, Annie Hawes, about her trip through Morocco and Algeria with two Frenchmen.
What am I reading...? I haven't read a book in a while... Horrible, no? I guess I'm just trying to keep up with the New Yorker, which seems to be delivered to our house daily. Daily, I tell you. Or so it seems. Sigh.
ok, it is SO fun to hear what you all are reading! thank you for telling me :) i feel inspired to try some new authors like sebastian barry, and read winter's night by italo calvino (because i've actually only read his collection of italian folktales), and delve into some travel tales, which are another favorite genre of mine. and maria, i have to laugh about the new yorker. we get it too...my husband reads it cover to cover, but i usually can only manage the movie reviews, short book reviews and the cartoons. it does seem like a new one arrives every day. we have piles of them lying around all the time ;)
Hee, hee..! My husband reads them cover to cover, too!! And I, of course, might manage the "talk of the town" blurbs and maybe half of the fiction piece - and then a new one arrives..! Anyway. I'm glad I'm not the only one. :)
I'm reading Not Buying It - my year without shopping. I bought it on a whim at the thrift, it's alright. It takes me forever to get through a book. I also have Becoming the Parent You Want to be in the works...
I'm a designer and seamstress. I make bags and pillows out of vintage and natural fabrics. I'm a mom of two. I like pretty things.
All photos are mine unless otherwise noted. If you would like to use them, just let me know. Thank you!

Just finished Traveling with Pomegranates, and now I am starting an Eleanor Roosevelt series.
