in the house

Snowy day today and we're nearing the end of the holiday break. Over the past week we've gone cross-country skiing, ice skating, sledding, eaten too much, played cards, board games, gone to the movies, cleaned closets, played with friends. Now the kids have nothing left to do but fight with each other. Time for school to start again!
Looking around my house today, it's time to change some things around. Last year around this time I said I was going to paint my daughter's pink room blue. Guess what? I still haven't done it! So, next week, next week, I am going to. And I will show you how it turns out. Also want to paint my yellow hallway white, but that may be pushing it.

yes, your house looks gorgeous!! love the cloth on the table, makes me feel like it's summer somewhere closer to the equator... if I close my eyes I can see charlie upstairs working hard to get duvine off his plate. My resolution for this year, less commercial work and more time for inspiration from all the talented women I know. I like "until soon"... here's one tim's niece uses that I also like, "mwah!"

liz, i agree, normal routines are great, and everyone needs their quiet down time (or at least i do! i know some people don't) hope you had a relaxing monday today :)

hi rebekah, we had some lazy days in the beginning of our vacation, then the kids went stir crazy and we had to do lots of activities! did school start for you this monday?

hi jan, charlie is almost done, i think he's on the phone with andy this minute. i can't wait for this project to be done, as i'm sure you are too. mwah! hope to see you sometime soon in person :)

happy new year, andrea! i'm so glad i'm not the only one to drag my feet on projects :) it's true, daughter's tastes change frequently and it's hard to keep up! i finally started painting today, and i'm just hoping i won't be re-painting this room for another few years.
