roses

I just needed to look at flowers today. It's been so gray here this week. I took these pictures of roses from my little garden back on June 3, 2009. That means only about three months until they are back blooming again. I can't wait! Have a good weekend.

These are so beautiful Jill! I love how you have the displayed all together like that. Wow - only 3 more months until June. That seems unbelievable right now on the grey day. Have a wonderful wonderful weekend :)

Gorgeous! Your garden must be divine to yield such perfect beauty. These shots are fantastic.

It's snowing here today (a welcome respite from flay greyness), but I'm yearning for spring!

Happy weekend.

thanks, rebekah! have a good weekend too!

thank you jane :) my garden is really tiny, but it has one huge and prolific rose bush that blooms all summer. i hope it doesn't snow too much in toronto this weekend, although i agree that snow is preferable to plain grey skies. have a good one!

hi vivi! glad the flowers brought you some cheer too. it's been a long winter so far, hasn't it?

wow Jill, i got a little jolt as soon as clicked here! I was so not expecting to see this much color right now!! We're still getting hit by our three day snow storm - we have well over a foot if not two already, just when it was almost all gone. oh well. your flowers made me smile, and indeed, it's really not that far away now is it?

Flowers, especially bright roses are the perfect antidote for brightening days! It's good to look back and also anticipate the next season.

Oh goodness. What a riot of color. I know what you mean. I crave color right now. Everything is so icky, dirty and grey here. I can't stand it. And it's a long way to a spring we usually don't really get. We kind of go from winter to summer. I am really drinking the colors of your flowers.

liz, can't believe you are getting more snow. all we have is rain.

lucy, i am really anticipating spring! but, like a true new englander, i realize it's not happening any time soon :)

thanks, michelle, hope your weekend was nice too.

raina, sounds like your weather and landscape is a lot like mine even though we are on opposite sides of north america! spring is fleeting here as well, just a few weeks in reality. then glorious summer.

traci, i have to admit, i am SO jealous that it is spring in portland already and that you have blossoms. enjoy and take lots of photos so i can live vicariously!!

thanks, gracia! i always have to remind myself that you are on the opposite season as me :) you are probably anticipating fall and all the delights of cooler weather.
