It was hot and we needed a project. Lucy and I set up this party for the dollies. Looks like a fun picnic, huh? Noticing other nice real life garden parties here and here.
Here's what we saw when we went for a boat ride last weekend. It was kind of a grey day, which made the green of the marsh grass stand out even more. The lovely Joanna from A Cup of Jo gave my pillows a nice mention yesterday. I feel honored to get a nod from her blog, which I greatly admire for its style and sense of fun. Thank you so much, Joanna! That was very sweet of you! Wishing you all a pleasant, summery weekend. Unless, you're below the equator, in which case, have a lovely fall weekend!
Lazy, hazy days here. The kids are off at art camp. I'm drinking iced coffee and sewing with florals and gingham. I'll show you the results soon. Thanks for all your nice comments yesterday on the pillows!
New pillows! I'm very excited to tell you that my pillows are making their debut over at the new Poppytalk Handmade Market "Home Sweet Home" today. Feel free to wander over to my shop there for a look. Thanks Jan and Earl for letting me be a part of this new market! There are many more beautiful handmade things by some very talented people, so do visit!
We found this mural on our walk yesterday. Painted by high school students, it's a panorama of the city of Cambridge located behind the baseball diamond and the Peabody School on Pemberton Street. The paint is starting to peel a little, but I think it's beautiful anyway.
We're going up to the little house later today for a long July fourth weekend. Fireworks, boat rides, picnics, family....I'm looking forward to it! I'll be back here on Monday to show you lots of pillows and share a fun announcement. And hopefully more little house photos too.
I'm a designer and seamstress. I make bags and pillows out of vintage and natural fabrics. I'm a mom of two. I like pretty things.
All photos are mine unless otherwise noted. If you would like to use them, just let me know. Thank you!
