in the kitchen

I've been spending a lot of time in the kitchen these days. The painting of the pears is by my grandmother, Roasalie. She had it hanging in her kitchen too, and gave it to me when I told her how much I liked it.

I'll have a shop update on Friday. Please check back in for some totally new things!

This is my first visit to your blog. It is lovely! I have to tell you - I have the same stove and kettle as you! You can see them at this post from last spring.

Hi Andrea! We renovated the kitchen last year and got rid of half of the things that were in it! So it's uncluttered to the extreme. What we lost in objects we gained in space and were able to add a dishwasher.

Thanks, Mary! I really enjoy cooking in this simple kitchen. I should post some old photos of what it looked like before...most people were shocked by what we called our kitchen:)

Hi Mary-Laure...yes, the raisin bread was yummy...it was my first attempt, and although it didn't rise to great heights, it tasted so good. Now I'm hooked on homemade bread.

Hi Green Key, thanks for your comment! I just checked out your blog...it's lovely and interesting. And it's fun to hear from someone in-state!
