small patio

We have a tiny patio at the back of our house, off the kitchen. Truthfully, it's part of our driveway. It's just enough room for a small table and chairs, a few potted plants and a barbeque. We spent the weekend putting the furniture out, potting up the plants, cleaning it up from the winter. It's small, and not terribly private, since it's close to the street, but it's so nice to be able to eat outside during the spring and summer!

Totally, totally adorable! We also have a teeny tiny not-so-private yard, which is our trade-off since we can walk right downtown. But there's something about tiny backyard spaces that are intimate and cozy...

Love this shade of yellow. So cheery! And it made me get this crazy idea: a lemon tree potted in a big blue ceramic to have perfect summer days:P

Well, small it may be , it looks super cute and cozy. I have not planted pots yet here. It is still below freezing at night. Maybe in a couple of weeks!

hi mary! yeah city/town living is a trade off. i love being able to walk everywhere, but sometimes wish for a little more privacy. but you can't have it all!

hi sharon, i love your lemon tree idea! wonder if a lemon tree would survive a new england winter? maybe if i brought it inside?

hi mallinkowa! nice to hear from you! hope you are well. will pay a visit to your blog and see what you are up to :)

hi raina,
weather is up and down here too...frost threatened the night after i put those pots out, but they survived. now today it's supposed to be 90 degrees. yikes!
if the plants don't wilt, i will!

oh nice! I re-did my entire patio and also used these BISTRO chairs and table...you can see it on the home tour section of my blog.
