call for yellow

These grey rainy days call for a bit of yellow to cheer them up. Ranuculus, meyer lemons, whatever, I'll take it!

I found some nice photo tips on Pia's blog. I love her approach. Also, I discovered by accident on Monday that if I crop my photos to square and reduce the original photo size by half the pictures appear much bigger in the blog post. Did you already know this? I'm usually the last to know!

Angela's got me hooked on twitter. I notice that Liz and Jane are also good about tweeting. I'm gonna try to tweet a bit more too. Do you tweet and if so do you have any good tips?

These photos look great! You aren't the last to know dear, that would be me. Not only do I not know, I don't know how to crop or anything. Boo-hoo, poor me :)
Ah - twitter. I have resisted thus far but keep hearing it is good for business. What do you think?

Love these photos! Yes, I think I'd noticed that Blogger prefers squares (hates portrait). I'm sure there's a way to goose it, bit I've yet to find it.

Such pretty bits of yellow. I adore Meyer lemons and who doesn't love fresh ranunculus. I do have a twitter account, but I don't tweet very often. I'm still not sure what I think about twitter... My favorite people to follow are those who post links to interesting articles, art, recipes, etc.

erin, i forgot about forsythia! i can't wait to start seeing it outside these next few weeks. a sure sign of spring.

rebekah, i crop by trial and error on fireworks (my crumby version of photoshop) but i'm happy to give you a virtual lesson if you want :) it's very easy! as for twitter, i think it would be good for your business...you can tweet whenever you add something new to the shop. but it does mean one more on-line thing to update.

hi jane, thanks! i can't believe it took me 2 years to figure it out...duh! i'm one of those people who doesn't read directions well.

denise, that's a good point you make about people using twitter to post about articles and fun stuff, besides just business related things. i often see so many fun links, then forget to blog about them, so i'm hoping i will remember to tweet about them instead.

dear anna, thank you for your nice comments about the photos!

Hmm... good trick! I've been pasting the photos in from picasa, that seems to make them bigger too.
Love the yellow!

No, no - that would be *me* as far as being the last to know..! Sigh.

I love your photos and your pops of yellow... The forsythia bush is blooming in our backyard. :)

As far as Twitter - I don't. I find blog land to be noisy enough in some ways for me, but I can see how it might be good for business...
