doll house

Okay, maybe you're thinking I'm a little old to be playing with doll houses. Yes, I am. But this is the kind of project that really inspires me, taking something in need of a little attention and freshening it up a bit. When it's done, it will go in my studio as a staging ground for photos and of course, to house some fun little dolls and furniture.
Sometimes it's really nice to be working on something that's just for fun.
Here are some before shots. I promise the after shots will be prettier! Please ignore the fact that my basement is super ugly in the background.
Have a great weekend, folks. The weather is perfect here, I hope it's nice where you are as well.

Looks a lot like the doll house I had growing up. And, I had the same red table and chairs set that you posted a couple of days ago! (Are you sure you didn't go "shopping" in my parents' garage?) Have fun!

I think it's fine for grown ups to have doll houses! Why not? Who says we can't do anything we like! Beats sitting around watching TV or drinking to excess ;-))

thanks you guys, for your nice comments and for not passing judgement on a lady and her doll house :)

pj, if you grew up in the greater boston area, this could be your dollhouse!

banana saurus, i am keeping the wallpaper in the top two rooms, it is totally charming to me. i had to remove the wallpaper in the lower rooms because it was moldy and a bit ugly too :)
