the mug is nicholas mosse :) my mom's friend used to carry it in her shop and my mom would give me a mug or plate or bowl every year for christmas for a few years. so i have a bit of a collection!
Ha! So lovely. I haven't really seen his stuff outside Ireland. Such a happy sight here!
yeah, there were a few places that carried it around here a while back, but i haven't seen it recently anywhere. it would be fun to see his new designs...i wonder if he has a website? i will have to look.
I also said "ooh--Nicholas Mosse!" My aunt and uncle in Kilkenny used to give us these as gifts so I also have a wee collection and I love them. I've only seen them rarely here, though there seems to be a brisk trade on eBay. Wish I could get to Squam too...
