Weather refuses to be sunny. To compensate: baked a cake, picked fresh lavender for the table, finished knitting a hot water bottle cover (project going on since March), watching Larkrise to Candleford. I'm going someplace sunny this weekend.

lisa, the cake is from the recipe you posted on your blog, only i didn't have any almonds to put on top. it was delicious, and i will make it again soon with the almonds! my family loved it :) it didn't last long at our house.
