new skirt

I have a new skirt and I have to show it off. My husband was kind enough to take some photos of me. My daughter thought I looked like I should be going horseback riding. Maybe in a previous century. Bottom photo is kind of funny...a little like Miss Muffet who sat on a tuffet. It's cold and gray here, like it sometimes is in May. But wearing my new skirt makes me feel better. What could be more simple than eggs? I had one for breakfast, scrambled, another for lunch, fried. Have you been here?

last year

Last year around this time my husband and I were in Amsterdam. Here are some random shots from that trip that continue to inspire me. I want to go back!

3 new bags in the shop

Three new bags in the shop today. 1, 2, and 3!

new pillows in the shop

I just added these two pillows to my shop. The linen is vintage from France, and very soft.

These days I'm wishing I had a place to put a clothesline, after looking at Traci's post here and Kim's post on one perfect thing.

small patio

We have a tiny patio at the back of our house, off the kitchen. Truthfully, it's part of our driveway. It's just enough room for a small table and chairs, a few potted plants and a barbeque. We spent the weekend putting the furniture out, potting up the plants, cleaning it up from the winter. It's small, and not terribly private, since it's close to the street, but it's so nice to be able to eat outside during the spring and summer!

remembering to look

Looking at things day in and day out, I tend to forget there is anything special about the things I put around my house. I begin to take them for granted. Taking a picture reminds me to look at them again, see them in a new light. Remember why I put them there in the first place.

blossoms

The spring blossoms are especially beautiful here this year. I've been outside enjoying them. I have a show coming up in a few weeks that I'm working towards and seem to have a lot of work and family commitments keeping me away from blogging. I'll try to pop into this space a few times a week though. Enjoy spring!

pretty cards and ribbons

Sunday's Paper and Fabric show went quite well, and I have some nice photos of Angela's table with all her pretty ribbons, cards, and books. I forgot to take pictures of my table, but I think Angela got some photos, and maybe she will post them on her blog too. As usual, the best part of any studio show is talking to the friends who stop by and making new ones. Thank you to all of you who dropped in that day. It was a pleasure to see you and get a chance to talk!

I'm hoping to get back to taking some pictures this week and hope I will have something new to show you soon.
